sharpening your handtools

everywhere in the woodworking world, there's always a discussion about tool sharpening because there are so many options and opinions
can you guys share what you're doing to sharpen your tools? the more info we got, the merrier!

My favorite tool to sharpen is probably the diamond plates. they're fast, durable, and low maintenance, they can also sharpen various kinds of tools with different kinds of metals

I agree with David dave, I have been using a second hand diamond plate for the last 20 years and it still severs me well. I never use sharpening gadgets just know the angle from memory.
