Switching from masonry to flatwork

I've mostly worked with blocks and bricks up to now. I'm starting to do flatwork now, and I need some good float advice. Any recommendations would be great!

Start with a mag float. Then, switch to a steel trowel or broom to get the finish you want. Watch out not to overdo the floating. Too much pressure or doing it at the wrong time can trap water and make the surface weak.

Magnesium floats are a good choice for general flatwork
