Most of the old threads I found on weed killers just turned into rants, so I figured I'd ask straight up: what's actually working for you guys in 2025? I'm not looking for miracle hacks, just reliable products or mixes that get the job done without me wasting a weekend pulling weeds by hand. Roundup still comes up a lot, but I know some people swear by vinegar or salt mixes. I don't mind chemical if it works, but I also don't want to torch the whole yard if I only need spot treatment. What are you all using now? store-bought brands, DIY solutions, or something in between?

Yeah, had the same weed problem last summer between pavers and near the fence. I used Ortho GroundClear for tough spots. It's strong but doesn't hurt the rest of the yard. For smaller areas, I mix vinegar, dish soap, and a little salt, it's cheap and works fast when it's sunny. I use both depending on how bad the weeds are.

I've been using a crack weeder and a hori-hori knife for tight spots between pavers. Anyone have a favorite hand tool for pulling deep-rooted weeds or cleaning fence lines? Looking to upgrade my setup without going full chemical,

Spot treat with a vinegar based or salt plus soap solution gets most weeds without harming the whole yard
