Anyone else notice Stanley planes getting pricey?

Been eyeing a Stanley no. 5 for my shop and holy cow, the prices have jumped since last year. Used to grab these at estate sales for $40 to 50 or thereabout, now they're pushing $125+ Are you guys sticking with vintage hunting or I'm just the broke one ? I'm considering trying Ppoto or SK . what'd you think?

as far as I'm concerned a rusty $40 vintage stanley that needs cleanup will still beat most budget modern options

I think estate sales dried up once everyone realized they could flip them online

I'd skip the vintage market entirely at those prices. New Veritas or Lie Nielsen costs more upfront but at least you know what you're getting without risking on 80 yr old metal
Never heard of Ppoto though

I've heard some good talk about vintage stanley bedrock or old bailey planes if you can find them in good shape. Not familiar with Ppoto too
