Looking for hand miter saw

So far I haven’t come across anything that really hits the mark for me , basically what I’m after is something reliable, accurate, and built well enough to last more than a few weekend projects. Ideally, it should handle trim work and smaller pieces cleanly
Anyone here have experience with a hand miter saw? I’d love to hear your recommendations or experiences. Should not be too costly

DeWalt and Metabo HPT are accurate enough for trim work, they feel good, and even hold up well if you’re not abusing them. Ryobi too can work for light weekend jobs, but the build isn’t as sturdy

@mr spareparts if you're willing to spend a bit more (maybe $75–$150), look for an adjustable miter saw station (sometimes called a precision cutter or compound miter saw guide).
these kits feature a saw suspended on two arms that hold the blade perfectly vertical and allow you to set the exact angle via a metal indexing plate.
brands like Nobex or Zyliss used to dominate this space, and you can find similar generic versions now. They offer professional-grade accuracy and are built to handle heavier use than the basic plastic box. They are truly the best way to get a clean, square cut without electric power.

@mr spareparts what kind of projects are you planning? Mostly trim and molding, or some small furniture too? That’ll narrow down which saw is the best fit.
