I recently found a vintage wooden dolly with steel wheels, its got no markings, but it rolls smoother than anything I've used today. Anyone know good places to identify old hand trucks or carts? Would be great to learn more before I start rebuilding.

Cool find! Vintage dollies with steel wheels are built tough and usually have interesting history behind them. For identification, you might want to check old industrial equipment catalogs online . Have you thought about whether you want to restore it to use, or keep the patina for display?

Take a moment to appreciate those steel wheels. They could really make a difference in how smoothly everything rolls. AFAIK. older steel wheels were often crafted with tighter standards than what we see today. If you can, it might be worth holding onto them.
